by the time this item arrived, two lids were broken.i cannot tell if it was the shipper's fault or the distributor's fault [my experience says that it is the shipper's fault].the lids are not broken in such a way as they are ruined; i can still use them, and they will still seal, so i won't be returning them.overall, seems like a great product, and cost-effective is paramount for me. :)

I love these bins! I have a bunch (20+) and an occasional one will come slightly damaged. I’ve never returned since they are still usable, 2 of 20+ have had issues: one handle broke and one small crack from shipping. Still great and I’m sure I’ll get more. If you want perfect ones, I’d go to a store but who wants to do that hahaha .

Even though they arrived with a broken lid the value was too good the return them. I love how the smaller ones stack on these and how tight the locks are. They are helping me get more organized and clean up the clutter from my shop.

Like some reviews have noted, the containers arrive damaged somewhat frequently. The part that broke on my shipment is the guide tab on the inner part of the lid. One lid had two of the eight guide tabs broken off. It is uncertain whether it affects the sealing functionality of the containers. It is a design flaw or packaging issue, however, that needs to be resolved.

I have purchased approx a dozen of these storage boxes in various sizes over several years. They are great for keeping stored items clean and critter free; and they are made to stack which makes them very storage space friendly. The downside (as most reviewers have mentioned): They are not packed to endure shopping without being damaged (pieces of the bins are broken off or the bins are split/cracked); some of the locking tabs are either not completely snapped in place before, or come off during, shipping and the tabs snap onto the bins with little plastic pins that easily break off even when being extremely careful; and once the locking tab pins break off, they cannot be glue back on. I have been relatively lucky in that most of my bins have not arrived damaged and the ones that were damaged, the damage did not completely ruin the bin. For the cost of these bins, it would be nice to see these issues, that are consistently brought up, resolved.

I've bought a lot of these Iris products over the years, and I agree the quality control has dropped. I didn't have any breakage on my most recent order, but some of the latches were separated from the lids. I believe over time, this may shorten the lifespan of the product, and I believe this was the result of packing and not the construction (only the top unit was affected). I'd still recommend the brand and product. If you're looking for storage bins, strongly consider the WeatherPro line.

Seal seems secure. They are sturdy and stack well. The weatherproof liner is coming out of one of the 6 we have but can be pressed back in easily. Wheels are sturdy enough. Other weather/dust proof bins are much more expensive so pleased with these. Would buy again.

Pros: roomy, stackable.Cons: Made of 'high impact' plastic which means the storage boxes will crack or break under high impact. The snap-on handles are cheaply made, i.e., the little plastic pins can easily break off and then you're screwed.

...so hard to find bins that fit under my 12" bed frame and maximize storage potential. Most on the market around 8" or 15" high = so too low or too high...these bins are perfect in size as I can slide them under easily and they do not touch the bed frame. They also have added protection of cushion barrier around the lid for a tight seal protecting contents from potential bug critters.
