Your cart is empty. These sods of Turf, or Peat, are harvested by hand from Cappabane Mountain Bog in East Clare, Ireland. Box contains .68 cubic feet of naturally dried Irish fire logs. Turf is seasoned for at least one year after harvested from the bog. Burning this product gives off a distinct aroma that is unique to the Irish home. Turf burns hotter than the same weight of wood and will also burn longer. To get the most from your turf, burn in an open fireplace. Light the fire using wood or other fuels and when you are ready to settle down beside the fire add in 2 or 3 Irish turf fire logs. These turf fire logs are also a great way ad flavor to food by tossing a sod on outdoor grill while cooking meats.

May seem expensive, but it is a lot cheaper then a flight to Ireland. The peat logs burn up easily and the peat smell brings me right back to the Irish country side. Personally I light a duraflame log first, get the fire going and then add one or two of the peat logs to it. Perfect!

Love the turf....we usually just put one in the fire when we build a fire, the smell takes me right back home. Some evenings my husband has a fire going by the time I get home from work and when I get out of the car, the smell is in the air - it's just perfect :-)

My son and I travelled to Ireland this summer and loved the smell of the local pubs burning peat in their hearths. These are dense, and naturally cut and dried. Aromatic when burned, and also hard to start and keep lit by themselves. However these are authentic. The box is 15†x 11†x 8†and contains roughly 7 logs of various sizes , Aprox 11†x 3†x 3 “ . So about $10 to $12 a log. I plan to cut into smaller briquettes for smoking meats , and also burn smaller pieces inside on a ceramic plate for aroma as I run my wood burning insert. So this box should last me awhile.

I bought this for the smell so while it burns really nice and hot and it does last along time it has zero smell. I buy tiny little chunks and burn those and it fills my whole condo with the smell of P these are logs and they have no smell at all. Very disappointingI gave them four stars because it does burn nice but if you're buying it for the smell, don't

Purchasing this product definitely saves a trip to Ireland!I use it in our fireplace during the fall & winter. I also use it sparingly during our summer bonfires. The smell of the burning peat transports me back to Ireland. I love the smell!

Box was opened when it was delivered and some of product was broken a lot of small peices, have ordered before and maybe one broken, very disappointed this time, not the value for the money. might consider using a different shipper for your product.

Burns poorly. The claimed lovely smell does not exist. Requires a great deal of other wood or fuel of some sort to get started. It is way over priced and over hyped
