Very sturdy. Worked great on the wall door to my Mom's garage attic. They stand off far enough to get even large hands behind the handle without scraping your knuckles.

Total Junk. Not even close to 9 inches. The handle is less than six. The overall length is less than 9. What a falsely advertised POS.

Looks nice, didn't realize how deep it was, would have preferred a handle just a bit closer to door. Price is a bit steep.
