I've made candles before, using aluminum or steel molds. Molds like this were made of 2 part hard plastic and were a pain to use This was simple to pour and unmold. I used soy wax with a 10% steric acid additive to firm the wax. You can use the suggested 50/50 mix from the manufacturer also, though I have not tried it yetI placed the mold in a wide mouth jar for support and that worked well. The mold was simple to remove, just gently pull it away from the candle and roll it off. I will be purchasing others soon!

The filigree-embossing on the candle are crisp and lovely. They do warn that the mold will need some support. It does, and it’s very difficult to support it in a way that produces a centered mold. Design-wise, the top appears as if it’s almost second candle. This would be much more attractive if the top were squared off or if the design actually continues to the top.

I can't believe I am the only one to see this, look at the picture of the candle in the listing. All of the long swirls are at the bottom of the candle and the top of the candle has a rounded dome. There is no way to achieve that. This candle is upside down. Watch the video in this listing. When they pull the candle out there is no wick in it. I was setting up the mold to pour when I realized this

Easy to pour into and extract without any issues or damage. I have made several and they all look great.
