Main Features:

At first I was very skeptical because I had a bad experience before with a fragile ring to hold my 70-350mm G master behemoth. It took me months back and forth to gather the courage to put $50 in yet another after market ring. I left my A7iii with the lens mounted in a tripod for 5 days to test if the Sony frame and mount could handle the torque from this lens weight. I just received the product and installed and this is my first impression. This thing is extremely well built machined out of aluminum and massive meaning it is in the same weight and sturdiness category of the lens itself. Using an A7iii the balance is achieved at full zoom, otherwise at 35mm balance is camera-body heavier than lens as you can see in the image. The pressure dial seems very progressive meaning you have a lot of finesse to dial in the ring pressure around the lens. Like someone else said, the lens should have been accompanied by this mount already and this product feels and seems like an official tamron branded product would feel.

I have been looking for this collar and I find it to be the perfect fit for the 35-150. The lack of tripod collar was a bit of an obstacle, but with this 3rd party add-on, I find the lens to be absolutely complete. HIGHLY recommend this for any 35-150 Tamron owners.

Because of the “heft†of the Tamron 35-150, this lens collar should have been included standard in the kit.It’s well engineered, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Ich nutze die Stativhalterung mit dem Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD Nikon Z-Mount an einer Nikon Z8 und bin voll zufrieden. Die Halterung kann stabil an dem Objektiv befestigt werden. Es muss nicht befürchtet werden, dass die Halterung vom Objektiv abrutscht und das gesamte System am Boden landet. Ein Adapter für einen BlackRapid-Gurt lässt sich gut an der Halterung befestigen und die Kamera + Objektiv können sicher und bequem bei Tagestouren mit dem Gurt transportiert werden. Die Stativhalterung trägt am Objektiv leicht auf, der Zugriff an der Kamera/ dem Kameragriff ist dadurch nicht eingeschränkt. Ich habe durchschnittlich große Männerhände und komme sehr gut zurecht. Ich empfinde keine Beeinträchtigung in der Funktionalität/ Bedienbarkeit. Ich kann die Stativhalterung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Does the job. It's okay; my biggest grip is where the screw-tightening knob is located.I wish it were on the opposite side.I tried mounting this onto my Peak Design quick release. It was way too heavy to hold comfortably.The only other mounting I can comfortably use as my daily carry is using my spider holster on the belt.However, since the knob is positioned on the left-hand side. I can only ever mount it to my left side.This is a problem for me as I am right-handed and have quicker access if it is on my right side.When I tried it on the belt holster on my right-hand side, that screw knob kept poking into my leg.It just wasn't a comfortable way to use my camera. I wish I had gotten the other "cheaper option" = Haoge LMR-SM140-N Tripod Mount Ring for Tamron 35-150 mm as the screw knob was on the opposite end.But you know you live and learn. Will have to keep this one regardless of its flaws.Maybe one day I can find a flush screw nut and use that instead of this annoying knob.
