I needed a way to connect an outdoor light to an outdoor receptacle, but there was no room for the light plug inside in-use covers, so I bought a short extension cord that has a round cord, drilled a hole in the gang cover and ran the extension cord through the gland and cover, and hard wired to 120V supply.Ran the light plug into a waterproof connector under the eave. Works well and we have had plenty of rain to test!

I purchased this to modify a power tool which had European style cables. I liked the variety of sizes which I could use with various size cords. I also used to secure power cords to a junction box and they worked well.

Seem fine. They grip the cable well. The gasket for the gland to box seems fine. Not a whole lot of threads. If your box is thick you might not have enough.
