This worked for about a month. It did cut down the water pressure at first then I dont know what happened the water pressure went back to how it was before installing it. Very disappointed.

Just turn off the water tap, cut the water line with a very sharp knife, note the water flow direction arrow on the pressure regulator and press the water line ends. Pull back on each end and insert the clips into the regulator and quick connect rings. If you have high water pressure, this regulator is a no brainer for ice makers and water filtration systems.

It is a relatively easy install and purpose made though just make sure the tubes are seated correctly and is located away from being bumped around otherwise it'll leak.

I recommend you buy direct from "Sold by Amazon.com" or "Sold by Spring" (or Express Water). because there are fakes out there under the mystery market sellers. The first one I bought from Express Water lowered input pressure by about 10psi, then 20psi. Lowest it ever got was 80 psi but it bounced upwards. Clearly defective. When I asked for support they wanted a picture of the install and I was happy to share. They then told me to turn the unit round with the arrow pointing AGAINST THE FLOW OF WATER FROM THE WATER MAIN. This was an interesting idea. The result was Zero Flow. Durrrrrrr. This Ispring one works find and caps input pressure (100 psi) at 70. And the arrow is meant to point the direction of flow so that'll be your RO system not the city's supply...ahem.Many people have had iffy reliability stories so I'm monitoring closely in case it explodes. This is a cheap hacky workaround. A real needle valve adjustable regulator from Watts etc. is the proper way forward but 500% more $$$$.

Bought this a few weeks ago to reduce the pressure of my incoming RO water. It works perfectly and was easy to install. Fast shipping from Amazon.

Worked perfect. My line to the fridge icemaker/water would water hammer every time it came on and was really loud. I used a pipe cutter to cut the copper line, slipped the cut end in each side of this regulator and BAM! no more loud water hammer but still very good pressure and fill rate. Highly recommend. And yes you can use this on copper it worked great!

I installed this regulator and it was dialed to below 70psi -- maybe between 40 and 50.It worked for about 2 years that way and yesterday it suddenly started limiting on 10psi.I guess it is OK value for the money, but not great.

It seems to work. It slowed the water flow down for my fridge.

I don’t think this is a true pressure regulator, more like a flow restriction device. It does what I need it to so that’s fine but I do notice the output flow does change when the input pressure changes. A true pressure regulator won’t do that as long as input pressure is higher than it’s output setting.Anyway for a low cost device, it does what I need it to do.

It did not blow up. But it did nothing to reduce the pressure.

Finally got to install this 70 PSI limiter. 1/4 tubing and quick connects makes an easy install. It was in a ziplock bag straight from the beautiful isle of Formosa (Taiwan), so low confidence on the clean/sterile status for potable water systems (I wouldn't use it if we didn't have a filter), therefore I ran some water through it before connecting to our filter system. I was shocked when I turned the water back on and it was still 80 PSI (Toronto City water pressure) with jumps to 90 when taps were closed. After flushing and refilling our water filter reserve tank, the pressure became limited to 55 to 60 PSI. It appears to be lower than the stated 70 PSI. It does reduce the pressure, but 10 PSI lower than advertised, so that's disappointing and hurts my trust in the product. If I wanted 60 PSI, "I'dSpring" for a 60 PSI. Do they weaken with age? Will I eventually see 70 PSI? I don't know, so for now it's a two star meh product.

I am trying to be as fair as I can but there is no way fir me to know accurate pressure, all I know installation was simple, quick and easy.
