I bought these for my whitewater kayak. It did the job, and seems durable.The retaining clip at the bottom is so long that I had to cut it off. Then, I heated a nail and inserted it through the handle to make a hole, so I could insert a string through it. It would be nice if it was cast with a hole for this purpose.The o-ring seems a little loose; I'm concerned that it might slip down over the threads and come off the plug, when I don't have the plug in the boat. Normally, the retaining clip would prevent the o-ring from coming off, entirely, but I had to remove it, to fit the boat.

Getting the correct sizing is tough. The product is exactly as advertised but in my case was difficult to find specs for what my kayak needed for sizing so had to guess.

Nice silicone gasket, threads mated well, plenty of room in Future Beach for the retainer clip inside the hole. Very pleased.
