So I just bought a brand new desk top computer. This is the first time I purchased a computer with display ports. I use two monitors, so I did not want to invest in replacing two monitors. These adapters do exactly what is expected, and I've had no issues with them. I'm able to use my existing monitors with my new computer.

I had a handful of (probably passive) DisplayPort to HDMI converters, but none of them could convert the 4K60 DisplayPort output from my HP ProDeck 405 G4 HTPC to the HDMI input on my TV. All of my old converters worked, but the display would only be 1080p.This active converter allowed the full 4K60 glory from the DisplayPort of my HTPC. The build quality seems pretty good. The housing is aluminum, the cable is braided, the connectors click into place nicely on both ends, and the price was low. What else can you ask for?

Use it for displaying onto my 1080p TV, since my RX 7600 graphics card's only HDMI port is used for one of my monitors. I plan to eventually buy a 4K TV.

I'm being more and more impressed on these cables. Better quality than the price would indicate. The "woven cables" are a bit stiff... Would purchase again.

Bought a decent PC refurbished to save some money...I wanted power just not gaming PC levels of power. But one of the caveats of doing this meant I was getting good specs but a lot of the hardware components were outdated. So when I bought a new 4K monitor, I had the unfortunate realization that my PC only has HDMI 1.4 ports on it...which don't support 4K/60hz (only 4K/30hz). But my PC does have Display Port 2.0 which does support 4K/60. Come to find out, the new monitor doesn't have DP though only HDMI 2.0...so that's where this little device comes into play.The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because...while it works. It gives me 4K/60hz like I wanted. If you so much as touch this thing with the slightest of taps, it bugs out. The monitor will black out from time to time, I'll get this multicolored pixilation in images and my screen will do weird artifacting where it like jumps from side to side every now and then. And simply getting up and unplugging and plugging it back in isn't that simple because a lot of time you have to do it several times before it's all perfect again. On top of that it causes my monitor not to come on automatically when I turn my PC on (it's supposed to go into sleep mode when I shut down at night, but a lot of times in the morning I have to manually turn the monitor back on).So it WORKS, it's a nice metal build quality and it looks good. But it has some touchy issues with it that can make it a headache sometimes. It also gets hot to the touch after prolonged use, which can be worrying sometimes.

Tried 2 other connectors and both did not work on two different pc a dell and a home built. If you are comparing this connector with any other just buy this one and save yourself the headache

I got this in order to connect a second monitor to my laptop dock, which only has 1 HDMI port but two DP ports. Unfortunately after a few minutes, the display starts jumping side to side on the monitor in a strange glitch. Unplugging and repluggibg fixed it for a time, but it kept happening. I tried it with a different monitor and different cables and had the same issue.

My motherboard only had a single hdmi port and a full size display port. I needed a second hdmi since my second monitor would not go into sleep mode with the display port. Sleep mode works fine with this adapter. Picture quality is fine with no artifacts. Unit does get a little warm though.

It's a perfect little gadget to work with my KVM switch and older 1080p monitor with HDMI. My primary monitor is 1440p, and the KVM switch is DP for both input and output to work with my PC Graphics card and laptop docking station. Without the active DP to HDMI adapter, the monitor wouldn't be recognized and would show no signal. The adapter brought the older 1080p monitor. Now my dual monitor setup works perfectly and saves me buying a second monitor with DP inputs.
