This is a wonderful wine cooler. Works as advertised and very nice looking in the room. It’s good for both red and white wine. I highly recommend this!

My old wine cooler was thermoelectric cooling system. Died suddenly. Seems to be common for them. I was concerned about a regular compressor fridge as we keep it in our family room where the TV is also. Turns out, no worries. The Ivation is not as quiet as the thermoelectric one, but the noise is minor and not annoying. Mostly just a low frequency hum. Not at all heard when the TV is on. Holds all size bottles, looks nice in the house, essentially all I hoped for. I deducted a star for the clumsy control panel for settings. Additionally, the temperature display is BRIGHT, really irritating and totally unnecessary for it to be that bright and on all the time without any dimming adjustment.

The look, functionality, dual temperature control reliability and storage is top notch. For people that think non-standard sizes do not fit, this is misleading. The non-standard bottles will not fit if you face them all spout forward (I have a slew of those for white wine from a recent 2nd, for me, all time trip to the NY state Finger Lakes region). However, a neat trick is to turn them in the opposite direction and somehow some significantly odd sizes do indeed fit snugly but the door then closes fine and the temperature is maintained. It is right next to my work space and yes you hear the compressor come on sporadically but it purrs like a kitten and has a very low decibal level. This has been a great purchase. It had sold out for a bit but a few more became available. I snagged it when that happened. So happy I did. I Love the look and sleek design and the led lighting too.

I purchased our first Ivation 33 bottle dual zone wine frig. approximately one month ago. Arriving in great shape from Amazon, I removed the box, allowing the unit to sit upright for the allotted time prior to plugging in as instructions suggested.Approximately 10 minutes after plugging in, the unit began making a loud buzzing noise every 5 minutes like clockwork. Contacting customer support, I was advised to unplug the unit and allow it to sit for 3 hours to reset. Plugging the unit back in 3.5 hours later the loud buzzing sound resumed every 5 minutes as if it was coming from the compressor.Returning the unit to Amazon for full credit, I purchased the exact same model from Amazon 3 weeks later. Taking the exact same instruction to heart, I plugged this unit in, setting both temps to 64 degrees.30 minutes later the left temperature reading showed 71, and the right temperature showed 34 degrees.Going thru the same procedures, unplugging for 3 hours to reset, plugging back in and allowing to run for an hours, the left temp read 71, and the right temp read 31 followed by LL. The upper interior portion of the frig did not feel cool at all.Contact Ivation customer support I was informed I needed to file a claim via Ivations web-site. Filing a claim I received an automated reply stating I would be contacted. 1 week later with zero contact from Ivation I sent a follow up e-mail with zero response. On the 3rd week I sent a 2nd follow up e-mail.Frustrated to say the least, I contacted Ivation and was advised to submit another claim. You will have better odd's winning the lotto than obtaining any type of customer support or response from Ivation.

I'm a bit torn about this wine fridge. I was deciding between the Ivation 33 Bottle Dual Zone and a similar model from Wine Enthusiast. I opted for this Ivation because of the UV protection in the glass and the lower price tag. To be honest, if the Wine Enthusiast model specified that it had UV protection, I probably would have spent the additional $100. However, to get that feature AND save some money was a no brainer for me.When I unboxed the fridge, I immediately noticed that the door wasn't quite level. While annoying, it was something that I could learn to live with. Plus, I knew that regular refrigerator doors can be easily adjusted. I figured this would be the same. How wrong I was. First, I tried to pop off the top hinge cover. It wasn't going anywhere. So, I decided that I didn't want to force it and break anything. I then checked the owner's manual. No mention there of how to adjust the door. I decided to forget about it for the time being and try again at some later date. Maybe it's adjustable from the bottom hinge? In the meantime, I plugged it in and loaded it up with my wines. At first it seemed nice and quiet. About a day later, there was a metallic vibrating noise anytime the compressor kicked on. I thought perhaps it was an interior shelf or a bottle not laying quite right. Nope...all secure. I looked and felt around the compressor and nearby parts in the back. Nothing obvious.I also noticed that the top zone would always overshoot the set temperature by two to three degrees. I had it set to 61F. Occasionally, when it was running, the display temp for the top zone would show 58F. Of course, it would always settle back to the set temp of 61F. Conversely, the bottom zone never fluctuated from the set temp of 41F.Besides these relatively minor issues, the fridge seemed to be working fine. If I was just experiencing one of them, I would probably live with it. However, I knew that the combination of all three would drive me crazy in the long term. As a result, I returned it and ordered a replacement of the same model. The plan was to give the Ivation another chance. If the 2nd one was just like the 1st, I was going to return it as well and then order the Wine Enthusiast model.I've had the replacement Ivation for about a week now. The door on it is perfectly level and there is no metallic vibrating noise. Of course, it makes a slight hum when the compressor is running. But, it's a fridge. That's to be expected. The only issue this one has is that it also tends to overshoot the set temp in the top zone. So, that must be a consistent issue with these. Other than that, I'm happy with it.As for my star rating, I would give the first one a 2* and the replacement a 4*. That leaves us with an average rating of 3*s. That seems about right.

Bought this to go next to the beer fridge in my garage. The wine was taking up valuable space. This was a great value for the size and features. I've had it for 2 yrs with no issues, even as a garage cooler.

Nice looking unit and highly value the Compressor vs thermo electric ctooling technology. The big If is that the unit doesn't hold 33 bottles - longer or stubby wine bottles don't fit and one has to remove at least 1 or 2 shelves. I think the true capacity is max 20-24 bottles.
