Materials are excellent. Simple installation. The hard part was whether I should take an hour go buy a 9/16" drill bit. I used a half-inch bit and figured I could easily expand the whole in the foam-core door. Wow, the 1/2" hole, with a little wiggling after the bit went through, was perfect.Good optics with glass lenses. The view is perfect, down to the floor directly in front of the door.My only complaint about the product was the staticky snow-storm from drilling through the foam-core door. (Just kidding. No complaint about the product.)

We've lived in our house for years and never been able to see from the house into the garage, and I never thought it was that big a deal. Recently, I heard the garage door open at 4:00 a.m. Apparently, someone was able to open it remotely while driving by, which I hear is happening more and more frequently these days. I woke my husband, and he went out the personnel door from the house to the garage to check it out. There was no way of knowing if anyone was actually in the garage without walking out through the personnel door that leads from the house to the garage, and this could have been a dangerous situation. Fortunately, no one was there, but the next day I ordered this viewer so that we could see in the garage before we go to bed and make sure the door is closed--and now we keep the garage door opener locked at night. I recommend this product if, like us, you cannot see into your garage from your house! It was also super easy to install--maybe took 10 minutes.

We needed a matched pair for our new home's front and back door. Loved the finish of these and the price. Be aware that there were no directions included but we didn't need them. Will warn you that you need to have a clean, sharp 9/16ths drill bit & if you do not know how to install one please google it or check youtube to find the instructions. You do not want to deal with what happens when you have a whole in your door the wrong size or shape. :)After 10+ years in building maintenance we knew that the only brand we wanted was Schlage for these. We only use them for locks and peepholes they have excellent products and we have never had an issue in multiple buildings so that is all we use in our home.

This viewer was easy to install and looks great. It matches our door hardware perfectly. My only complaint is that it came with no documentation. I like not getting a huge, unnecessary, hard-to-open, package with a ream of instructions in every know language and dialect. This was in a tiny zip-lock baggy with nothing. Admittedly, installing a peep-hole isn't rocket science. But a couple of tips like drill a pilot hole first, consider the heights of the users when deciding a location, and at least mentioning the deal drill bit size would be helpful. That's where the fifth review star died.

This is an awesome peephole. It has a really wide angle lense and amazingly clear. Installation was straight forward. It doesn’t have directions but like other reviews here I saw that it was a 9/16 in drill bit, which I did NOT have. I used a 1/2 in bit and just wiggled it around little at a time and frequently checked to see if it fit. You’ll want to put some silicone around the sides before fully tightening it to make sure no moisture gets inside. We have a wreath on our door and it does not interfere with the view. I can see the edges of it but it’s still a fantastic view.

Built well and great viewing angle. This matches the rubbed bronze Camelot style hardware from Schlage on our doors.

I'm sure this is a great product at a good price but no instructions or guide or any paper along with it? How much does that even cost? I'm taking away 2 stars for that.
