Deutsch Stamped and Formed contacts, designed for use where wire termination costs are of primary concern without sacrificing reliability of electrical circuits. The stamped and formed contact series is made on a precision stamping machine using flat strip stock, then a durable and corrosion proof nickel plating is applied. The Deutsch Size 16 Stamped-Formed Contacts 1060-16-0122(Pin) & 1062-16-0122-PS(Socket) are designed for use with 18-14 ga wire within a size 16 cavity.

If you want a reliable connection, start by watching videos on how these are put together.Having worked previously with *legit* Deutsch Connectors, I suggest that you also plan—with this set, at least—to solder the contact pieces after crimping. These just don’t have the quality to take crimps and keep your wires securely fastened.Additionally these do not take to being disassembled/reassembled very well; the plastic is more brittle than that from higher quality manufacturers. Deutsch Connectors are, by design, able to be taken apart and the parts reused. I had, I think, three individual parts break over four male/female sets.I’d still likely buy them again for a watertight connection that I am certain I won’t have to dismantle—the price/value makes it a worthwhile choice. Your results may vary.

I find that Deutsch connectors are easily the best wiring connectors for automotive wiring. I have been using them for many years on all of my projects because very few other automotive connectors are as compact, as sturdy, as weatherproof, as long lasting or as well made as these are. I guess you can tell that I'm a huge fan. They are available with two styles of pins, the simple crimp pins and the fancy 4 sided circular crimper pins. The 4 sided crimper type are the best although they are more expensive and, of course, you need the fancy 4 sided crimper tool. The regular pins are just fine if you are only wiring up a few connectors a year, but if you are doing a lot of automotive wiring then you should invest in the 4 sided tool. That's my two cents.

I am really pleased with this style and quality connector. I was using weather pack connectors but these work better, especially for higher pin count connectors. The tool to crimp the contacts was reasonably affordable and the connectors work well and are easy to rework/re-pin. I started with 8-pin connectors and like them so much I bought this set with more sizes for other jobs.

Using these to build wiring harnesses for my vehicle. They’re exactly as described and exceptional quality. I’ve already place two of the harnesses together and will be building the other portions in the near future. So as far as functionality I can’t speak for yet. They terminals sink and connect in properly and they’re just as good as oe style deutsch connections. So if you need something inexpensive to make a project a bit nicer this is it.
