For $14, this versatile kit seems like a true bargain. It worked well. While the adapters are not brass as advertised, but rather brass-plated steel, for occasional use this shouldn't be a concern.

Good unit for ball park readings but you got to be quick because the one I got does not hold the reading. It apparently leak past the relief before you press the relief actuator. I took the connector and relief valve apart but could not cure the problem. The unit still does what I need but you need to be watching the indicator while the engine is cranking or running if your engine is operable. Still, for the price it does good enough to tell you if you have a bad cyl. or not.

I got this to use in my house to check my vehicle's engine, it only lasted to test 2 cylinders (at 150 psi), and on the third, it started leaking from the gauge so it won't work anymore. I didn't ask for a warranty because it was a cheap product but it is not as good as the reviews say.

I bought this to test the compression on an outboard motor works easy and it’s pretty self-explanatory. This is my second one as my first one disappeared after loaning it to a friend.

Using the hose attachment I get a reading of 100psi. If I perform the same measurement using the pipe that you hold in the spark plug hole, I get a reading of 125psi. The initial low reading caused me to go to a lot of work tracing out the cause of a non-existent problem. The issue is the quality of the hose they use, which expands under pressure (you can see the hose pulsating) causing a much lower pressure reading. Otherwise it appears to be an acceptable product, but for me I want to be able to rely on the hose reading so back it goes.

3 of the 4 adapters are knurled on the outside without a hex pattern. With a recessed spark plug hole they are extremely difficult to remove. It required an EZ out. An easy fix would have been to use a 5/8, 3/4, or 13/16 hex on the outer so it could be removed with a spark plug socket. Too late to return so I'll be attempting to adapt the adapters.
