I bought this for an intaglio printing class where we etched on zinc plates using this tool. Though it might be sufficient for a softer metal plate like copper, on zinc I could not achieve deep enough incisions into the metal with this tool, and the tip frequently bent out of shape (even though it was very sharp). Similar looking tools from different manufacturers worked better, and I had to borrow from my classmates.

Recieved an empty package. No etching needle. There is no damage or holes in the padded mailing envelope nor in the items packet. It’s just empty. I received nothing but a padded envelope with an empty plastic packet that an etching needle should be in which I need for my 12pm EST class tomorrow.

Not easy to scratch with too small an tip not sharp enough for what I needed it for.
