I've had this guitar for a while now and i really dig it. Sounds great, holds tune, well protected during shipping. Great paint job and a solid build. Decently hot pick ups for the price. Neck is gloss free. Smooth fret ends, nothin's gonna jump out and bite ya which is nice. It's kinda on the heavier side but it has very balanced weight distribution,so no neck dive bombing. No real set up required outside of player preference, Even the factory strings were useable after a bit of stretching. The bridge is a tune-o-matic which makes changing strings quick and easy. i don't really have the know how to open it up and inspect the pots and other electronics to know if they're good quality, but i can anecdotally attest to the above average quality of the sound this guitar produces. I actually prefer this to my Jackson Dinky at the moment. Has a very LP "feel" to it, so any LP player should feel pretty comfortable picking this up with no period of adjustment. Totally worth it!

I’m a newbie so I can’t speak for the sound quality. I bought this Jackson Monarkh because of its price and looks. I’ve always liked the Les Paul style. And let me say that this guitar is a beauty. The matte black is gorgeous on a guitar.I’m happy with my purchase. Delivery was quick and exactly as described.

Got this for my brother to start learning, overall the instrument itself is a good bargain. One thing to be wary of is that I received the item and the headstock had punched clean through both boxes and had a chip in it. Apparently the only resolution from Amazon is a full return and refund which wouldn't be helpful based on time constraints. Maybe a partial refund would be a better option to ease the mind on a chipped headstock on a brand new guitar. Again, other than that, the item itself is solid.

Its a cool guitar, perfect for what I need it for but it has some bad fret buzz near the head. Nothing too bad though, I can't hear it through an amp anyway

Im happy with it. I put 11 gauge strings and tuned it to d standard. It has a lot of bass. I usually keep the bass on the amp at around 5. I have to keep it around 2 with this guitar.

I'm a blues player. I have a Fender, a couple a PRs guitars, ect.. Wanted a cheap high output guitar for recording, and playing with a local metal band from time to time. Great base platform. I upgraded the tuners, and Jack input. Input is crap. Mine and my friends both had to be replaced after playing out a few times. Great for starters though. Pay the $69 for new strings and a setup.

Looks great and you can't beat the price. Had to fiddle with the pickups, they were a little close to the strings. Plays smooth, couldn't ask for more at this price point. It is a little heavier than expected when compared to my 3 Ibanez (1 Gio) but your shoulder gets used to it quick
