- The right amount of wax on the cord makes it easy to maneuver.It is easy to work on the cord with hand or tools such as awls, giant curved needles, pliers, or speedy stitches. If you prefer the cord to be more slippery, applying additional beeswax before sewing will make it even more durable.
- The texture is woven and it is not easy to fray. This roll of lightweight but heavy duty braided waxed cord has good tensile strength. It is too strong to break with bare hands and it does not easily disintegrate.
It has many other DIY applications. It can be used in braiding, macramé, beading, jewelry making, and crafting projects. For leather work, it stitches and lays down nicely and the look is very consistent.

I needed some cord for experimenting in making turkey wing brushes. This cord isn't 'all natural' but worked fine and came in nice colors.

I have used this thread for a handful of leather projects. Overall, the thread seems durable and has worked fine in terms of function. My one complaint is the wax coating does not last. It’s just a cheap, flakey finish put on the thread, as only 5-10 stitches in the thread becomes uncoated.I solved this by applying my own beeswax on the thread before using, but still, this is not a durable wax. Also, after the wax has worn off, the color slightly changes on the thread, making it a lighter color as you progress with your piece. Not a huge complaint, but something worth noting.-Nightstitch Leather

I love this wax thread so much that I ordered the other set too. It’s a good thread, well waxed and beautiful colors. I am teaching a group of family members and I need good reliable materials, so this is one of my favorite thread for jewelry making, leather work and home repairs. It’s a little bit pricey, but everything is pricey now a days.

Used this waxed thread for stitching leather slipper bottoms onto the bottoms of felted & non felted knitted slippers. Ot has been about a month now and this method is working our perfectly. An ample amount of product for the money and I like that it has so many varied colors. Worked well with the scrap leather I also purchased here on Amazon. Quality product, would recommend, and would repurchase if need be.

I got this cord because I wanted to see if I liked making micro-macrame bracelets. It was a cheap way to get a variety of colors, and I'm satisfied with the purchase. However, the cords are way too waxy for what I was using them for, and after just a few passes of knotting the cords were a mess. I won't be purchasing this again for macrame, but the colors are great! They seemed sturdy too, so probably a good purchase if you want to use them for something other than repeated knots!

Nice colors and resistance but they could have been a bit less intense on the waxing. It leaves a lot of extra white wax around the holes and you need to work it in by rubbing and potentially brushing it out of the leather after. Not a bad thing in itself but the excess of wax is kind of annoying in my opinion. The different colors available and the price are still making it a good purchase though.

Das Produkt war vollkommen OK aber 1mm waren eben eben 1mm und darüber muss man sich vorher bewusst werden.Die Rücksendung war auch völlig Problemlos. Natürlich habe ich DHL gewählt, da ich Verpackung sparen wollte. Leider verpackte DHL meine Rücksendung in einen völlig überdimensionierten Briefumschlag, dass ich das System wohl nicht verwenden habe…
