I bought this futon to put in my car to sleep on my lunch breaks at work and let me tell you, it did the job. It fits good in my 4Runner but with other things in my car that I added cannot really see the bed but I knock out real good and that’s good enough for me. Quality is good, comfort is really good and there wasn’t really a bad smell. But if there was, never last long.

This is a lifesaver for our family. It's high quality and very comfortable. For parents whose kids often come into the bedroom at night, this mattress is really helpful to keep them on the floor instead of crowding the bed. It's easy to fold and store, and the washable cover is a great feature.

The mattress is functional and comfortable for sleeping, but I noticed the thickness feels closer to 2 inches rather than the advertised 4 inches. I’m not sure how they measure it, but it doesn’t seem as thick as expected. That said, it’s still comfortable to sleep on, and I’m happy with the color I chose. It currently has a protector on it, so I haven’t measured the size directly, but the size seems fine to me overall.

This product reminds me of the Japanese futons that I used to use when I was a kid. Better than a sleeping bag mat and very comfortable. Foldable but not easily compressed. Once it’s out of the box, you’ll have a hard time putting it back in. No funny odor. Comes with a cover, compression straps, and storage bag.

This mattress is fantastic! Very cozy, and I slept through my alarm for the first time, slobbering all over my pillow. I was concerned that it would not return to shape after reading the reviews for this and comparable memory foam items, but it did. My dad suggested that it be kept in a warm environment, so I hung it in the garage and bought a heater. The width came together quite effortlessly. I let it stay in my room with the blinds up for a day before moving it to the garage for two days. My room is fairly cold, thus it makes sense why it was taking so long to spread. The length and thickness took some time to achieve the aforementioned specifications, but hanging it in the garage with a heater directly on the mattress worked like magic. I put an additional thin topper on it before adding the dust cover and silk sheets. The best decision ever. When purchasing this product, please keep in mind that it is a Japanese futon mattress. Japanese folks are quite minimalistic, so don't anticipate Western European or American comfortability. Trust me when I say that it is quite comfortable. I only sleep on this with a rug underneath. No box spring or anything else. I do plan on getting a rush grass tatami mat to go under as well. I also suggest to the company that they should add keeping it in a warm environment on the packaging. It says keep in sunlight but that wont lead everyone to the steps I took. Pics are .5 so if it looks smaller it’s not.

I left this mat out for at least three days longer than recommended. It never lost its center crease fold which is right where someone would lay. I just started sleeping on the floor for my back, but thought a mat would be a little more comfortable. This actually made it slightly worse. It’s a very cute design with the palm plant fronds. The carrying case it came with broke almost instantly and I think I’m missing a strap on delivery. I think for floor mats someone to get a higher quality more expensive mat. Initially, it did have a very chemically smell, but that actually dissipated after a few days, but the crease remains.

Such a great mat we use it for sleep overs, movie night. It's easy to roll up and take with us the extra cover is a perfect fit. Definitely worth the money.

I have some mixed reviews on this mattress that I recently purchased. I like how lightweight and foldable it is which makes it portable easily. However, I feel the mattress is thinner than what I expected and you can feel the hardness of floor especially if you are used to thicker bedding.Overall, its good to have it as an extra bed, but some extra bit of padding would go a long way in improving its comfort!

This product actually exceeded my expectations. It is high quality, very comfortable and rolls up small enough to tuck away in my closet when I am not using it. I highly recommend this product as an extra, temporary bed for guests.

Not worth the money. IKEA futons are sturdier than this. This isn’t a Japanese futon at all. Not comfortable. Pretty useless
