Not sure if they actually provide any protection at stress points.All 25 in this set are adorable and there are no duplicates! Quite a steal at less than $0.50 USD each. My teen and grade school aged kids also like them and picked a few for themselves. These would make good favors or "stocking stuffers."I purchased a 2 pack of this product 3ish years ago from a different online retailer. I paid $2-3 each, and still use both daily. Some paint has rubbed off, but still completely functional.
