This was a much cheaper option than the OEM and I have put a few hours on my tractor with no issues so far.

I have a 2005 JD 5103 that surprised me one day when it refused to start, would crank but not fire, long story short, research revealed to me that this part (cold start sensor) is known for shorting out and causing a "no start" scenario because it shuts the fuel pump off when it malfunctions. I bought this part to have on hand and it appears to be the right part, although not necessary, I found out since all you have to do is unplug the connector to this sensor and the tractor starts fine. Apparently it is supposed to help with cold weather starting, but in my case I found no difference.
