This beautifully crafted cutting block is made from Walnut wood, a very dense hardwood and features an indented lip on the top edge for better positioning of your reeds, as well as a rubber grip bottom to keep the cutting block from slipping. Dimensions are 38mm diameter x 22mm high.

The cutting block has some sort of wax coating, and when I use it to clip the reeds no longer have a straight line across the top. I can’t imagine how this is even happening, but I have destroyed two reeds so far and I refuse to try any more. Worst cutting block I have ever tried!A friend has one and ended up scraping the wax off with a razor blade. It worked better that way, she said, but she ended up scraping it off again a couple of weeks later. So strange!

First and foremost, these sellers are simply amazing. 120% recommend going through them.So I moved a little bit ago, but am now looking to finish my degree in music education. So I have been getting my music supplies and everything out of storage. Long story short, I lost my original cutting block. I ordered a new one, but used my old address for shipping (don't ask, I don't even know). The seller was so amazing to work with. They kept in prompt contact with me and were so willing to help me out. I seriously cannot recommend them enough.Secondly, the cutting block.I chose this one for the price point (hey, I am musician returning to school, not a Kardashian) and for the appearance. My old block was made from grenadilla wood and did the trick nicely. This one has a beautiful wood grain. The added details on the sides make it more unique than the others you can find on the market. it is sturdy and makes for a perfect cutting surface for making reeds.
