Jeremywell Pillow Block Bearings
Pillow blocks are the most popular choice of mounted units, providing shaft support. The UCP pillow block mounted bearing series has two bolt holes, and a set screw lock is designed for mounting onto bearing surfaces parallel to the shaft axis, such as conveyor belts. This ready-to-mount unit has solid base cast iron housing, chrome steel bearings, and is designed for efficient operation at a wide range of speeds. This one-piece pillow block housing allows for a stationary outer ring and rotating inner ring. Insert bearing maintains the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction, and to support radial and axial loads. The bearing is secured to the shaft with set screws to prevent slippage. This mounted bearing is used in food and beverage manufacturing, textile industry and many other industrial manufacturing.
Solid-Base Mounted Bearing
This ready-to-mount unit has solid base cast iron housing which is manufactured without cavities and fillers, helping eliminate material build-up from under the bearing. Whereas, a hollow base is susceptible to build-up that can trap moisture and therefor cause corrosion to the cast iron housing. Jeremywell pillow block bearing's only come with a solid base, making them a lot stronger and easier to maintain than a hollow base.
Self-Alignment Feature
If the bearing is crooked for example when you lay it on a flat table, it is not flat. Please don't worry. This is our self-alignment feature. These bearing are meant to have some play in them. When you mount them, just use the shaft to rotate the bearing into proper position, or if it is not out of alignment by much, the bearing will correct their own alignment once they begin to rotate. Because if the bearings were not aligned properly and spinning at high RPMs then sure disaster would happen. So our self-alignment feature is a way to prevent this from happening.

This is a high performance part. The fit and finish is fantastic. The precision machining and grease zerks ensure this part can handle high rpms and should last for many years. I used a set to create a wheel axle on my smoker. Using these pillow carriers it was built overkill in strength and will outlast a lifetime.

These are pretty freaking fantastic for the price. They're high quality and comparable to pillow block bearings that sell for near $100 a piece. Make absolutely sure that you buy a high quality, precision machined rod to use these on, though. There are plenty of metal rods available on Amazon and I got sucked into buying an aluminum rod via the "frequently bought together" section, which did not work. After I bought a precision machined steel rod from a machine shop type retailer outside of Amazon's network, these pillow block bearings worked effortlessly.

These are very nice pillow blocks for the price. They arrived on time, they were nicely finished with a pair of nice, true-sized bearings in each block. Time will tell, but the only issue I had was the zerk fittings. All were loosely threaded into the housing, and three had the dust cap leash (?) between the zerk and housing rather than just around the collar. (I'm not real familiar with pillow blocks but can't understand why they need zerks for sealed bearings pressed into the frame. I think they're holdovers from bearing sleeves?) Anyway, they're in use, working fine.

I’m more than a half a year into using these and I still haven’t had any issues with them in considering the crazy thing I’m using these for trust me they’re strong enough for whatever your planning .

The product is just what I was looking for. They will be used for a large lawn roller. The old bearings and it's design was not the best. Rrmanufacturing the entire unit.

Quality seems solid, definitely a good value up front.Time will tell if they last, but so far so good.A word on alignment: people complaining that the bearings are not aligned from the factory don't seem to understand that pillow block bearings are intended to have angular compliance to make up for misalignment when they're mounted. They're complaining about the key characteristic feature of this type of bearing. Also, they are not pressed in, if you tip the bearing 90 degrees in the housing, you can pop it out for replacement. All you need to align these bearings is to mount both, then bring the shaft in from one end. If it's off, just pull it toward center and the bearing will pivot. Repeat for the other side and the shaft should slip through with no problems.
