The screw hole orientation of the installed ceiling electrical box was a problem for me. They ran parallel to the track lighting. This connector uses a flat bar to fasten to the box, then a threaded hollow rod and lock nut to secure the connector. The screws that hold the bar kept the connector from sitting flush. Since I was going to attach track with alligator clips, I chose to install one screw to fasten the bar on the off side from the track. This allowed the connector and cover to sit flat against the ceiling. The track was firmly installed and gave adequate support to the connector on the side where I didn't use a screw. The connector is fine, my installation was not typical.
