This was one of the few products that stated it was designed for use on an I-Beam or H-Beam we had an H-beam and most said I beam and there is a big difference between the two. The price was secondary to having the right trolley but the price was very reasonable on this one which concerned about the quality since it is going into a hi volume production setting. Concerned no more the trolley is very well build and heavy and easy to assemble I highly recommend.

We utilized this unit on an I-beam put in the garage. We utilized it for a home gym for recovery for my husband. We put a harness on him and the trolley allows him to walk between parallel bars without fear of falling. Very important for a safe recovery. Quality product and easy installation.

Having an elevated beam and trolley is a great work saver in a shop. The trolley is the easy part. Getting the I-beam lifted, fitted with tabs and bolted in place 16 feet above the floor was a challenge. The Amazon price on the trolley was excellent and the free shipping made it an easy decision. It was relatively easy to install and was equipped with a wide range of width adjustment options to permit a perfect fit. This trolley was the cheapest one I could find, yet the quality of the materials and the wheel bearings seemed excellent.The wheels on the trolley are tapered and technically they should be used on beams with tapered flanges. My I-beam has a virtually flat flange which means the wheels make contact at the outer edge of the flange. If very heavy loads were to be lifted, this design point should probably be considered.

the trolley I received was not orange as pictured, it was gray. Seems like a solid product otherwise, the spacers work out perfect. it is definitely a two person job hanging this thing. I stood in the bed of my pickup truck, backed under the beam with a helper. The wheels are tapered, my beam is flat flange, im not sure if that will effect the loading or not but its something to be aware of. It would be helpful if JET provided some additonal details regarding their PT and HDT lines. details were a little fuzzy on that. essentially the PT seems to be marked as "industrial", but not much further detail.UPDATEUsed the 1-ton trolley to hoist a 1,100 pound automotive lift and it was great. Stable, rolled smoothly, no surprises.

We bought this trolley to use in a factory situation where extreme use was expected at the moment of hanging it. Other trolleys have quickly disappointed us, but this trolley held up to everything we put on it without any problems. Good in curves, easy set up, and holds up well after months of use.. The only thing I recommend is a good Castrol wet lubricant once in a while. Because we use it in a 400 degree oven also, we had a bearing that needed replacing after awhile and the bearings are easily removed and around 6.00 a piece.

This thing works perfectly for an 8" steel I beam for hanging a 2-ton electric chain hoist. I use the hoist mainly for pulling engines so there was no point in buying anything more than a ton which is why I went with this one. It slides easily across the beam and it feels confident.

Good instructions for installation. Care must be exercised with a trolley installation as you on a ladder above the floor. It takes 2 persons as the trolley is heavy and awkward before it is tightened. I used some wood clamps to keep it together temporarily on the beam. My helper handed me tools, spacers, etc. from below for final fit up. All in all a nice tool. Well made. C Beattie
