I replaced all the bolts with 1/4in. grade 8 to make it more heavy duty. The bolts and nylock nuts provided were very low grade quality. I did not use the eye hooks provided as I have a custom fabricated hitching point on my tub sled. I had to install extension arms on the tub sled because the poles were somewhat short for my liking. The hitch pin is very robust and secures the assembly well to the snowmobile hitch. It made a good hitch when I was done modifying and it works well.

This is the way to go. I use my sled in the South Georgia river swamps to move items or get a deer in and out of the swamps. This product works great and hooks up easily. It pulls a lot better than with rope.

Product is much shorter than it looks like on Amazon. Also, the construction is not the same. The hinged area is different. The ends that hook up to the sled are not eye hooks. They are flattened rods with a hole. Maybe good enough. I still have not installed it. I think it will be hard to hook up the ends to the sled and have them stay on. I will likely modify the entire system by replacing the rods with much longer rods to keep sled away from the snowmobile further. I will also replace the hooks on the sled with closed end eye hooks and use a clasp/carabineer to attach it. Overall, the price was ok, but not what I expected to see.

Would be nice if the description was a bit more accurate and info filled....Things you should know...- The arms on this are really short...about 30 inches, which when attached will have your item rather close to the hitch. Not great if you're pulling a sled through snow as you're going to fill the tub.- The MAX weight limit for this is 125lbs...Yes, you read that correctly....so if you thought you were going to pull your kids (or a buddy) in the sled or your ice fishing gear...you're pretty much out of luck as you'll be past the max.I still gave the item 2 stars as the seller I had packaged extremely well...but I would look into other options if you need to hitch a sled to an ATV or snowmobile.

I was towing my sled with a rope tied to my snow mobile and it would tip and ride right and left on the trail and when I stopped the sled would slam into the back of the snowmobile. This hitch cured those problems. The sled tracks great even at 40 m.p.h. Great product. I recommended it.
