Have used these to feed our dogs. They work great as an insert in their bowl or alone. We remove them immediately after they are done or they become a chew toy.

Not sure what I was thinking 16 ounces were but for some reason I expected these bowls to be larger. They do indeed hold 2 cups though, almost up to the rim but they do hold it. They are good quality, made of sugarcane, sturdy and would work fine for on the go or even storing them in the trunk for convenience when out and about. Luv the leakproof feature, don't have to worry about the bowl getting mushy when wet. I use them myself for snacks, etc. not sure if I'm supposed to reuse them but when they are not damaged I do, I just wipe them out so they are ready for the next use. I call that recycling to the max!
