The old motor (1955) on my wood lathe burnt out. I got a newer motor but the shaft was 5/8 and old pulley was 3/4 ordered This adapter from JGR fit perfect only thing I had to do was trim 1/2 inch off adapter 15 seconds with a cut off wheel and I was turning wood again.

Well made. Used to match a 5/8" shaft to a 1" shaft to couple a hydraulic pump to a new motor. Was a bit too long, but a few minutes with a hacksaw fixed the problem.

The inside diameter is slightly too small, resulting in the sleeve not being able to slide onto the crankshaft. If tapped on with a rubber mallet, hardware can no longer slide onto the sleeve, thus defeating the entire purpose of buying this adapter. It is also impossible to get back off without destroying the sleeve, making returning the item nothing more than a pipe dream. Even with a fresh layer of gear oil between the sleeve and the crank, getting this thing back off is a major chore. DO NOT BUY IT. It's a waste of money, time, and heartache.

I had to replace my zero turn motor and they didnt make the motor i needed and the new motor had a smaller crank shaft size so my pulleys were to big but with this adaptor it worked out just fine.

The adaptor sleeve I ordered was 10 thousands over sized. It did not fit the application properly. I had to take it to a machine shop to have turned down to size.

Received the wrong key, it was supposed to be stepped. Adapter looks nice, but a little loose. Would be willing to try another.

The id of the sleeve measures .9935 (should be at least 1.000 to 1.003) and od measures 1.095 almost a 1/32" under size. Long story short the sleeve is too small to fit a 1" shaft and too small for a 1-1/8" bore pulley to fit remotely reasonably.
