I leave my straps on my guitars. I use straps with good quality leather ends and prefer rubber washer style strap blocks. These buttons are deep enough to easily accommodate all that material but still don't look too big or gaudy on the guitar. Made well in the USA and very sturdy.Note: If your screwdriver is meeting a lot of resistance, get the drill out. There are so many reviews on items like this (strap pins, string trees, etc) where folks are complaining about snapped screw heads. Guitar wood is not Ikea wood. Don't be lazy. Drill pilot holes. Considering you can buy a cheap-a** drill for about the price of these strap pins, there's really no excuse not to. Yes, some screws are cheap and flimsy, but even the best hardware will be tested if you try to screw it directly into a piece of rock maple.

Dunlop makes the best strap locks. I have them on every guitar except an acoustic with a 1/4†jack that doubles as the strap button. Never drop a guitar again!

Wanted gold straploks and these fit the bill perfectly. Matched the gold hardware on my Hefagita Black Beauty LP!

Have three straps with this type of strap lock, more guitars than straps. Installed on my newest guitar and they work as advertised. These are the least complicated and the least intrusive of any strap locks out there. Buy the full set up and be done with it already.

Fits right, looks good and won’t come off accidentally. I use these on all my stringed instruments with ease. Never worry about a strap coming off and wrecking your instrument. I can move from one instrument to another with efficiency.

I use the Dunlop Strap lock system on all my basses so I can easily change them out while using the same guitar strap. Go to a Guitar Center and they will make you purchase the whole set which includes the locks as well as the buttons. If all you need are the buttons, this is the way to go for about a third of the price!
