Ok so I don't own any rack systems but this rack mount works great as a shelf.. I ordered this because I was having problems finding a shelf big enough for my router (Asus GT-AX11000) and this does the job wonderfully.Pros: Very well made rack mount Sturdy with plenty of mount holesCons: none

Added a 1RU amplifier with feet to my home theater system so I needed a 2RU rack unit because I wanted the rack to support my center channel speaker. The rack has extra screw holes so I added a wooden cross support and everything came out great. Easy to assemble and nice screws and bolts.

I had a 6U 14†depth rack and ideally I want 3 shelves at 12-13†deep. This light duty vented rack shelf solves the problem. The only downsides are that assembly is required and the screw heads on the sides that are part of the assembly do sit out a bit proud so some shelves may require a little finesse depending how full the rack is. Overall these look nice for the price and are a solid light duty 2u shelf in the 12†range if you have a small rack that needs them.

installs easy, put 2 on the front and back of my rack on the bottom so I can hold the small batteries I have etc.

I wanted to have my Panasonic DAT player in my rack, buts its not rack mountable. This shelf worked absolutely perfectly.

It was simple to put together, but I’m not sure if I had received it used because of the broken zip tie that was in the package and everything sliding around. First time I ever encountered this in both the IT rack world, as well as the audio visual world. The rack holes were misaligned. I tried to angle screw it, but couldn’t get too far without damaging the rack. Disappointed because of the fast shipping. Unfortunately that’s what we get due to the easy entry process of bringing items to this platform. I had just ordered a star tech shelf and will start processing the return for this right now.

This shelf is just ok, doesn't hold what it stated in the listing and bent easily with not much of load on it - very disappointing

we have several different rack brands at home / in our office and these shelves are perfect for them. well ventilated and sturdyyou can save significantly buying these vs the big names for exactly the same durability and sturdiness
