Your cart is empty. The eyecup is made of soft and durable silicone, so it allows for more comfortable viewing through the camera's viewfinder. Meanwhile, it can prevent scratching and damage to eyeglasses. What's more, the dome-shaped eyecup effectively shields light that may enter the viewfinder and cause flare. It also can be mounted to the viewfinder easily and securely.

The round shape makes the entire VF visible on it's largest setting where-as the rectangular ones obscure the corners unless you press your face into it. Definitely a step up there. I do wish the eyecup was deeper however, to help block light.
