This JJC extension tube is designed to enable a lens to focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance. Getting closer has the effect of magnifying your subject (making it appear larger in the viewfinder and in your pictures). They are exceptionally useful for macro photography, enabling you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality.
The extension tubes have no optics. They are mounted in between the camera body and lens to create more distance between the lens and film plane. By moving the lens farther away from the film or CCD sensor in the camera, the lens is forced to focus much closer than normal. The greater the length of the extension tube, the closer the lens can focus.
The JJC Auto focus extension tube set for Micro 4/3 Mount contains two tubes of different length - 10mm and 16mm - which can be used individually or together to obtain the desired magnification. Actual magnification effect changes with each specific lens.
Tips: When all the tubes are stacked together, you could find the auto focus does not perform very well, this is a problem in general for any brand extension tube set. The more/longer tubes you add the more you have to close up the aperture in order to get the subject in focus, thus the more light you need. This means your camera may have a hard time auto focusing because of the small depth of field you work with (the closer the subject the less depth of field you have). So compensate for it, use manual focus or set the camera on a tripod with a focusing rail.

Initially, I ordered another brand from a reputable (?) photo source and it was described as an extension ring with metal mount. To my greatest surprise, it was actually a nicely painted cheesy plastic mount. I returned it. I abondoned the photographic source and I stared searching Amazon. What a great source to find things that you need! The JJC extention rings for Nikon Z mount lenses were exactly the opposite of what the other ones were not! Both sides of the extension ring mounts (camera and lens) were made of metal (aluminium and brass, respectively), nicely machined and great copper contacts. It worked well and precisely. When you mount both rings there is a sligth play between the two rings what for me is expected. You can't completely eliminated the play less you play the game that the ring can get stuck on the camera or lens. Also, it comes with a really nice bag where you can store it safely and cleanly. Set of two (10mm and 16mm) JJC extension rings arrived yesterday. Metal construction; solid lockup, no wiggle. No problem with focus and aperture etc. signals between camera and lens. Bought them to play on my Pana GX85 with the kit lenses; first camera with interchangeable lenses.Looked at several sets on Amazon, picked this JJC set as having decent reviews and being a bit above average in price range. (Yes, you can pay too much and get trash, but rarely get satisfactory quality without paying for it.)The 16mm is too much extension for the 12-32mm lens. The 10 and 16mm rings, singly or in tandem, work well on the 45-150mm lens. Have done some macro pics with single lens cameras, but camera is so close and blocks even lighting. Extension ring on the long lens gives a very tight angle of view from several feet back. No camera shadow.

Wish I had discovered extension rings years ago. Turn lenses into macro wonders. Can't beat the price, either. A fraction of what a macro lens costs. So happy with these.

The advertisement claims these work with ef-s lenses, they do not. They fit these lenses but do not auto focus or stabilize. Manual only. I could have bought the same thing for half the price but I wanted them to work with my lenses. This is false advertising! Do not buy these for this price.

These feel extremely cheap when installing, but the work perfectly fine. I probably wouldn’t buy them again, but I’ll use them until they break ✌ï¸

Although there are filter lenses available to allow close-up macro shots, adding more glass between the subject and camera is not without adding additional flaws to your photos. Extending the existing lens forward adds no more glass to the optical path, so it is the preferred way to take macro shots with your existing camera and lenses. I have not had the time to actually use these yet, except to try each one and then all three together, to assure that they all worked properly, and they do. I've wanted a set for about a year, tried another brand model, but wasn't happy with their build quality, so I returned them. This set is very well made and works as expected. I have big plans for shooting small things with these, but sadly, work is getting in my way.

De 35mm hacia atrás solo se puede usar uno de los dos anillos o casi se hará contacto con el frente del lente.La sujeción (montaje) es firme pero fácil de accionar y de liberar.El uso de anillos de extensión logran una calidad de imagen casi como de un verdadero macro y desde luego muy superior a un lente de aumento de +1 o +2 dioptrÃas, ni decir más.Siempre he quedado muy satisfecho con los artÃculos de la marca JJC, son, por lo general innovadores o copias perfectas del original y de muy buena calidad sin pagar precios de marca.En este caso, los recomiendo, de nuevo, ampliamente y sin reservas.

I already have glass at various focal lengths and never could justify the hundreds of dollars to get a dedicated macro lens. These extension tubes are the perfect solution and I can enjoy the same optical quality I expect from my existing glass.Autofocus works great and it literally transformed my existing lenses into macro ones. The fiiting is perfect. No shaking in videography, Well Autofocus, total 26mm focus distance. Very well made. Must buy for macrophotography lovers. Just it doesn't give more closer shots as I expected. But it really helped me.
