This is the best rain gauge I have found so far. Easy to read, great quality, versital assembly and large capacity (7”) I bought and extra one for our daughter, as her old one is small and the glass brakes easily.

Great rain gauge! Keep this in mind. You get indoor and outdoor temps along with how much precipitation you get.The product does work well. Be sure to keep the sending unit CLEAN to get accurate readings. Follow the instructions on how to open the unit to clean the inside and out. If the sending unit is in the sun your outdoor temp will higher than it would be in the shade of course. The outdoor sending unit is sensitive keep it in a safe place. If you do move it around handle with care, it might give false rain fall readings. Read instructions on how to zero the false rain amount. Good luck!I bought two for Christmas gifts, they love it!

I bought this because ours cracked and I’m so glad I did! We located it on the outer corner railing of our back deck where is would be least influenced by trees or the roof, etc. and it can be easily seen from the kitchen window. The 3 separate segments are handy because you can choose how high you want it and the entire assembly is very sturdy. The gauge is easy to read and it holds 7 inches so is great for big storms and It seems very accurate! We do take it inside during below freezing temps. We really are very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a rain gauge.

I love the ease of reading the rain amount from inside the house.The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because I bought this one last year and now after winter, it is cracked on the bottom. So I don’t think you can leave out in the winter. Maybe it did say that in its information but I don’t remember seeing it. But regardless, I like well enough to purchase another one. And I now know to bring it in when freezing temps

glass remains clear and easy to read. I let water freeze in it and the bottom broke out. I consider that a lesson learned , not a fault with the product.

I like the general idea of the rain gauge. Accurate, thick tube, love the concept of the top of tube. Height was good, easy to read numbers.The stand was pitiful weak, Flimsy. If you have the skills to build a sturdy metal leg stand you will love it. The company could improve the stand.

BEWARE...CANNOT handle ANY freezing as it brags it can!! this is the second one that has cracked with the first winter freeze. had intentions of binging in before the cold weather and missed it.
