Make sure you have hand strength to use this. We like the finished product. It just takes some patience to get it.

The neck of the machine showed wear after 2 uses. It didn’t shave as well as I had hoped. It was easy to use not worth the money cause it had to be returned.

I was pretty excited to find this. I was hoping to be able to easily add this to my Kitchenaid to create shaved ice for sno-cones and boozy summer beverages.Although it states fits ALL KA stand mixers, that is not true. This did fit into my tilt-head mixer, but not my bowl lift mixer. Not a deal breaker, but not necessarily a true description in the ad.The unit itself is very overpriced for the quality of the construction and materials. The plastic feels rather fragile and the spring is so tight that I really feel that this will end of cracking by the end of summer. It also doesn't want to stay attached at higher speeds, so I'm forced to use this at a slower speed, which melts the ice block too quickly and I end up with somewhat of a watery mess. Not worth the trouble.What I was able to produce had a good consistency and it was kind of fun to treat the kids to some sno-cones, but this is really just not worth the mess and hassle. You have to freeze water in the 10 molds, work to unmold those, set up an unstable attachment, work quickly to flavor what the attachment is able to produce then spend too much time cleaning up all the melted mess.The instructions are horrible, but this isn't too complicated, it just is not worth the effort. That and the outrageous list price makes this a no for me. I wouldn't recommend this.

Excited to use this attachment for the holiday season. Easy to use on some simple testing we did. worked liek a charm, already outlasted the previous one we had
