How to Use:
Add 1-2 inches of Josh's Frogs Mealworm Bedding and Food into your culturing container, then add a piece of egg crate and a moisture source (Josh's Frogs Insect Watering Gel, carrots, or potatoes work great!).
When to Replace:
Replace Josh's Frogs Mealworm Bedding and Food as it is broken down and becomes dusty.

I am trying to cultivate super worms and so far they have successfully evolved to beetles, and will most likely procreate and have more super worms. I have saved a lot of money having this mix. Instead of buying super worms to feed reptiles every week, if you cultivate them yourself using this bedding. You save $$$$. It's totally worth it.

As described. Make sure you bake it before using it to feed; I had a clean colony before I started using the bag, and grain mites after I started using it. I can’t say 100% that they came with the bran, but the timing is suspicious. Not a big deal s long as you know to bake out the bugs first.

So I put a good amount in for my superworms who love to borrow into it. The first amount I added for my mealworms saw all of them molting like crazy. Not sure if it was the wheat but turned into a smelly blackened mess. After cleaning, fresh wheat and less molting it's holding up so much better. So if you have really small mealworms or any bug you know will do a lot of molting less is easier to clean and manage.
