This was a VERY small amt of shredded bark but it was VERY well shredded just how i wanted it to be. But for the tiny amount it was VERY expensive. Just letting all know that the shredded pine bark is top quality but small bag. Wish I could find a large bag for more reasonable price.

I was expecting a little bit bigger bag but it was enough for what I needed it for. I've never seen shredded pine bark before and was expecting for it to look more like bark. It looked more like soil with small bark chips in it (the chips were a quarter size of a dime). But I would get a bigger bag next time and I have high hope for what I'm using it for. For those that make their own soil I would recomend a bigger bag if one is available.

While this is not the most economical pine bark on the market (reason for 4 starts), it mixes well with other media (compost, sand and perlite) to make a quality soil for growing seedlings or generating roots from cuttings. I have brought other shredded pine bark that comes in large "chunks" and I either have had to break it up before mixing it or use it elsewhere. I will continue to buy and use it although I wish it would be available in a larger quantity.

This pine bark mulch will do fine for what I need it for. I really need a bigger bag so will look when needed.
