It arrived in a box that was a different product that I thought seemed too small and was wrong but I opened it and the lid was squished inside. Battery cover was missing but the batteries stayed in good enough. Tested it and it opened but got stuck immediately and couldn’t close. Tried again same thing. Returning immediately it’s better just to buy an entire new trashcan that way you know you’re getting the right package in the right box that is brand new.

Mine only lasted 3 months. The part that holds the lid is made out of cheap plastic. With time it gets fragile and just breaks. That’s the mechanism that opens and closes it later.Trash cat I meant to last a few months if you’re OK with that .It’s a small part that can be replaced. However, they don’t sell you that part. They only offer the top lid as a whole part
