I've used many docks for the steam deck as I live connecting it to the TV a d playing retro games at work or with friends. This is the best dock I've used. It's metal has ethernet so you can download games way faster then wireless. Looks sleek with that metal finish. And best of all with other docks I've used you sometimes get artifacting because of quality yet this one I've yet to see it. Also as an upside you can connect a usbc powers phone to it and cast to the TV or monitor you are connecting to through hdmi. I've used this dock for both purposes and is a very handy tool that I throw in my bag because you never know when someone wants to play some retro games or wants to watch a movie on the big screen. Great dock all in all I highly recommend

Here's the thing about docks: they're all just glorified port hubs. The only difference might be how/if the ports interact with each other. Absolutely do no waste your money on the official dock. Even if you want a display port, just buy a hub with its own power cable that has the proper ports. Steam Deck does recognize hubs. Other handhelds I'm not sure about, but why wouldn't they?Let's start with the two negatives:The first is only one USB-C. The official dock suffers from this, too. Not a huge deal because of adapters, but it's there. The second issue is the lack of a display port. Personally, I don't care because I'm not trying to play games on my Deck at 8k. That's what my PC is for. This Jsaux dock does cap out at 60Hz on 4k. With a display port the Deck is capable of 60Hz at 8k or 120Hz at 4k. If you don't have a TV or monitor capable of 8k, then the lack of a display port shouldn't even be a problem.Now the positives:The Jsaux dock is compatible with my steam deck, samsung phone, and it even works with my Lenovo tablet.It is made out of metal. The USB-C portion that plugs into your device has metal surrounding the angled bit, as well. So far, all the ports have worked. I have used both a Bluetooth and wired controller without issue. Also, the wired controller will charge while plugged into the dock. I have used Bluetooth headphones while docked. I imagine wired headphones would work fine. I have not tested the gigabit ethernet port.There is plenty of anti-slip strength on the underside and the topside where your device rests. Because of the metal construction, the dock has a satisfying weight to it which adds to the effectiveness of the anti-slip pads.At literally half the price of the official dock, this thing was an easy purchase for me.

The build quality is solid, with a nice grip that holds the Deck securely in place. All the USB/HDMI ports fit snugly without any wobble, and everything connects without issue. The only small downside is the connector cable — it's a bit longer than necessary, which makes it tricky to position without bending or angling it awkwardly. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. Overall, a great dock that gets the job done!

Works wonderful. Passes power and video and controller no problem. I take the setup to the office and use a monitor on the weekends.

Product worked well enough at first. Occasional disconnects while playing but they were infrequent enough and I was happy enough to ignore it as what I get for not purchasing the Steam version. Well, as the month went on, the disconnects got more frustrating and by the writing of this review the product has stopped working completely. The LAN indicator won't even light up. I've seen similar reviews of this item saying the same thing. Tried other wires, tried the original wire, tried the firmware update. I could only get it to connect to my PC by forcing the USB C in and slightly up and to the right. Still nothing. It's a faulty usb C power slot. Save your money and get the Steam version even if it's overpriced. This product is impossible to get support for too. Good luck if you get it.

Upon plugging the dock and the provided 45W charger into my ROG ALLY, I received a notification stating that this adapter did not have sufficient power. It barely held charge. I referred to the manual, FAQ's on their website and a couple of videos and I guess that with these products, you're suppose to download and update firmware ? Really ? Firmware on a docking station with some USB C's ? Things like these should be pretty straight forward.The firmware updating software was crap too, followed the PDF file to the tea, BIOS was updated to support third party chargers, docks and adapters and it couldn't even read the dock. Tried doing it through the ALLY too and it didn't work. The best part of it all was when I had plugged the dock into my computer in attempts to update the firmware, it set off a little shock and powered off my entire PC within seconds.Go find yourself a docking station thats pretty straight forward with no need for the extra steps. Its like buying an iPhone adapter and cable and you having to plug a USB-C into a port and update its firmware. Doesn't make sense.

This thing is great! I had an issue where my desktop pc completely died. Then I remembered that I had this dock for my steam deck. I was able to connect my mouse and keyboard as well as an Ethernet cable and hdmi to my monitor and my steam deck became a suitable temporary desktop pc until I was able to get all the parts I needed to rebuild a new desktop gaming pc.

My pc broke due to power outage which my power bar fail to do it's job and destroyed it. So i was looking for something to use while i build a new pc. So i thought of using samsung dex and was looking for something that would allow me to use my current keyboard and mouse and i found this gem of a product. I received it today and oh boy it works like a charm. With this i can play geforce now so i can still play games on my monitor. Now i'm just hoping this product will last a long time.
