These are very nice. I cut mine down because I run them in a small bench mill.

I was leery about the single cutter but thought I’d give it a try anyways. Maybe I was wrong? I wasn’t. I should have stuck with my intuition.I wanted to have some carbide cutters for the odd mill scale covered or harder than normal metal piece to be machined without immediately ruining a normal HSS end mill.A single cutter with no balancing cutters to apply an equal torque opposite to the other, the mill was horrifically chattery. A simple test on scraps - A .005†depth of cut with the 10mm end mill on stainless was a nightmare, and .010†on aluminum was almost as bad. Trying the fastest RPM I could use to reduce the amount of material per rev removed, thus less torque did anything to improve the matter. Varied RPM testing didn’t improve results. The two bladed 16mm had less chatter, but was prone to the problem below. The insert immediately chipped on its first use.In addition, the extremely long shaft of the cutter meant that it stuck out 4†beyond the farthest amount I could get it into an R8 collet. The lack of rigidity made process even worse. I was tempted to cut it shorter, but not knowing the hardness of it and not wanting to ruin a good bandsaw blade or sketchily cutting it with an abrasive wheel I didn’t go for it. I’d rather just send this garbage back to whomever thought it was a good idea to sell it.

the headline for the item suggests its for (side) end milling, and lists the angle of the cut is 90 degrees. It is in fact more like 85. It will leave ridges on the end face if you try to use it as an end mill, which was why I bought it. Nevertheless, considering the length of the tools, it's a good value for the money if you just want something to slot, shoulder and face mill, with good reach and the economy of using inserts. Runout was inside 0.001" on all 3 for me, so you could achieve decent accuracy for the operations mentioned, just not anything that requires the 90 degree side angle.

this is junk i was trying to cut some cold rollled steel and inserts kept breaking about .250 in the length of the cut depth of cut was .020 and only .025 in width while trying to side mill and i was using this on a grizzly G0781 mill so all feeds were done by hand
