Drum is well constructed and is as advertised. I would have rated this 5 stars but the paint did not last 30 min. Will burning Drum looked like it was 30 years old. Def. gets the job done...I did drill 6 holes in the bottom to let some air in which I would highly recommend doing. I would recommend this drum and buy again.

Fast delivery, exactly as pictured..I was so excited to get my shiny new black burn barrel! I placed it next to my old rusted one that came with the property that I had just bought and said "ha!". Filled it up, lit the match, and watched it burn... and then... it was like it had leprosy.. the paint started peeling. I was just so sad.. and disappointed.But then, I realized that all the other barrels that I had seen around the country side had no paint on them either so this must be what happens when you actually heat it up. On the plus side, it left some really interesting designs so we pulled up some lawn chairs and played "name that burn picture" while watching it peel and leave the design behind... can you tell we are new at this country living thing where the garbage men don't pick up at your driveway?I have been burning continuously for over a month now - I don't think the embers have ever completely cooled down. We have had a ton of stuff - literally - to clean up around the property that we bought and it has been great. The paint did peel partially down the barrel but no rust (despite lots of rain) inside or out, no warping despite continued burning, and I am about to buy another to add to my "collection" .Would recommend to anyone.

Bought this to use as a burn barrel in the backyard. I’d recommend to strip the paint off the barrel before burning anything in it as the paint melts and flakes off. Other than that, great quality for what I got it for. No issues to report and would order again.EDIT: 6/3/20. Going on just about a year and this barrel is still holding up great! Been through a year’s worth of Houston weather and no signs of weakness.

Bought this drum for my mom and she loves it! It is sturdy and looks good in the yard. I did read the reviews though and would highly recommend purchasing the heavy duty drill bits ( to drill holes in it for air and to drain water).

So... the paint flaked off from burning the box it came in... then, more so in buying yard crap... i assumed that being black. It was like my BBQ pit and stay black... not the case at all. The paint is gone. A stainless steel burn pit, colored by heat, i have.Do not think you are buying a black burn barrel. It isn't even drilled to let out water. This is a very simple drum barrel... it will not stay black!!!

The first time we used it as a burn barrel all the black outside color started melting and peeling. Definitely not usable as a burn barrel!
