This is a fun, cleverly designed "just add water" kit, designed primarily for the young, but could be a relaxing pastime for all ages. A brush of modest quality resides in the thick cardboard base. Each cardstock page is easy to remove (you could work on a page while still bound to the book, but transferral to other pages seems inevitable). The section of each page with seven different water-soluble paint squares is perforated for easy separation. The cardstock designs are cute; they will inevitably curl a bit after drying. The size of each coloring page is about the size of a bookmark, and would serve that purpose. The uploaded photograph features masterpieces painted by both my wife and myself. Another nice thing about this item is there is very little wasted paint.

Do you need a craft for your kids to do that requires nothing but a cup of water? This is perfect. Great for kids who need something to do on a car trip, are sick in bed, or something else to pull out for a rainy day. The included tiny brush works great with the watercolor coloring sheets. I like the selection of colors to go with the flowers, too. The amount of paint appears to be enough for job, with some left over, as long as your child doesn't want to paint the whole thing one solid color. My only disappointment is that you may need scissors to clean up the edges. The pages are perforated to tear out of the book and to tear off the paint. So, you can just bend them back and forth and then tear them apart. However, they leave a weird edge. So, plan to trim with scissors when your child is done. When completed, your child will have painted a unique book mark ready to use!
