Bought this harness for sport climbing. Being a 20 year climber, I've seen and used my share of good and bad harnesses. This harness does the trick!. while other brands look for standard, universal colors for their products, this orange color will stand out and make the harness seem lwss worn and more exclusive.it feels very confortable, the waist band is wide so you feel secure and does not dig in when sitting on it.the aluminum buckles will not rust and the webbing runs smooth on the one pull lock buckle.the gear loops are not pvc covered or plastic but they hold their form and dont stick out.it does not have a on/off leg tensors so you will need to be cafefull if you need to answer nature's call with them on.belay loop is strong yet thin, so no bulk- GOOD!leg loops are adjustable with aluminum smooth buckes as well-GOOD.the stitching and fabric seem durable and long lasting, Ive been using it for about a year now-No issues what so ever.CONS: I am usually a medium but on this model I bought a large and it fit me just right. BE AWARE.PRICEPOINT: it is on the pricy side for harnesses of top brands of this category, if you are a sticler for the bright colors, that will justify your buy.OVERAL: good harness, DURABLE! but I will continue to explore other options once Ive worn this one out.

I had this harness for less than a year and it broke on me mid climb, the part that attaches the grey straps to the part that goes around you thighs ripped off as the stitching came undone. I am now unable to use the harness because the leg part will not stay up due to the strap ripping. Would not recommend this harness to anyone for safety reasons. If I were to have whipped while it was ripping my harness would not have stayed on my thighs and I could have got seriously hurt.

This is my first climbing harness (have rented some at the gym but never owned one). It comes packaged in a zippered mesh bag which is nice because it gets a chance to air out after use. I hadn't heard of the brand Kailas before getting this but seems that they are based out of China and have lots of outdoor gear. I normally wear 34x32 pants and picked the Large harness. I find the fit on the waist to be perfect, but the legs tighten all the way and are snug, but not as tight as I would prefer. That is just a personal fit thing though. This harness is quality, it seems really well made and durable. The waist band and the leg holders have a slight padding to them that makes it comfortable. With the quality of this harness I expect it to last for a lifetime of climbing for me.

Very light, the legs are attached from a thin elastic. It does not appear to be heavy duty; 4 starts because it is safe up to a point; I do not trust the elastic on the legs. For minor jobs it will do, but I will not use it for at high altitude.
