These abalone strips are pretty good, I bought them to use as purfling on a 2 small body guitars Im building. I would have given 5 stars But some of the peices are not the same size width. So be cautious when using these measure & Measure again.

I kick myself for buying these cheap looking crap inlay binding, I wouldn't use these on my dog house, love my dog more than that. DON'T WASTE your money, absolute waste. Amazon should have this junk removed.

Not the most consistent as far as size or color. Goes with the territory though, usually. I'll make use of them in a guitar build somewhere, probably not for binding/purfling (which I try to avoid), but maybe to cover up a mistake somewhere :).I do like the look of abalone, and I have an upcoming build where I might look for an excuse to use these strips somewhere. Not perfect, but they don't cost much either!

Ordered these abalone shell binding for some upcoming projects. When received, I did not realize what they were at first because in person, they do not really look like the pictures. They arrived more like an inconsistent strand of beads. Some of the pieces looked plasticky. Some however was very nice, like you would expect with abalone. I will use the nicer looking pieces.

I think I bought some a few years ago and the quality was okay then. Had to remove some individual ugly looking pieces then.This time the quality is so poor they were totally unusable. More than half the pieces were shell rather than shine. I threw them away and I don’t throw anything away. 1 star. Stay away.

It's not bad, but there are better products out there at the same price point. I found the shell quality and colour to be drastically different between the the strips.
