Recently added this to get a more sturdy phone stand, and this certainly does the trick. The flexibility that the base gives in terms of what placement best suits the driving experience is a huge plus. The one downside is that it effectively takes away that storage compartment to where bigger-handed individuals might have trouble retrieving things like sunglasses, or other misc. items a driver may be accustomed to having at the ready in that dashboard area.The base plate uses the stock single screw that holds down that tray. The upside to the base plate as opposed to a full tray solution is that the single screw is more than adequate to provide a sturdy experience, and limit rattling where tray solutions will require that and some 3M tape.

There are extra threaded holes that hang over the bowl with no instructions or hardware to explain. The screw included does not fit the bracket mount. Overall looks weird since it hangs over and it’s not stable. Returning.

I will not buy this. I wish i could still return this.. I had mine past return window. It did seem like a sturdy built.. but it's not. If you did not have your phone in the holder or the phone holder is empty, it makes rattling noise while you drive.. It's so annoying.. The sound is coming from the phone holder itself....Also the design is not for people who frequently taking their phone off the holder and putting it back... First, the button to open the phone holder is hard to reach coz it's position on top back of the phone holder. If you have a big phone, you hvae to reach the button a bit and press to slide open the 2 side arm of the holder. It's not one motion if it's on the bottom back of the holder.What added insult to injury is when you press the button, it takes time for the 2 side arm to fully speard out.This is so annoying to use.. Do not waste your money on this.

Easy to assemble. Very sturdy. Stays in place. Grips phone snuggly. I had this for about a few weeks now. No problems. Good product a must buy.

Put this in you lose the tray on your dash. I never like to lose storage base. I felt like this was very wobbly and unsecure. It is wider than the spot that you put it into so it hangs over. Just does not look nice. It was just OK.
