Beautiful and better than the original. Easy to put together and looks as though they will last a lifetime. Great upgrade.

Short version: yes, I can recommend these shelves for the Big Green Egg, but with caveats.First, these shelves cost less than the Big Green Egg shelves (aka "Mates"), they have a larger surface area, and are a solid surface, not slats, which is why I got them. They came exceedingly well packaged, and were easy to install on my large BGE.The surprises were that they were not level. On my prior BGE, the "Mates" were level, so I was surprised that when installed, both shelves angled upward. However, while downward pressure, or heavy plate of meat, are applied, they were almost level. It is better than being angled downward when loaded.The other surprise, considering the excellent packaging, was that there were a few blemishes (little nicks) in the top surface of the shelves, and only noticeable because we were admiring the otherwise smooth, attractive surface.So yes, I can recommend these shelves, with the caveats that unloaded, they are not level, and there may be minor imperfections in the wood surface.

I was worried they would not be a great fit On my extra large Big Green Egg. but they are and so far. I am very satisfied.

Fits perfectly. My only complaint is the wood isn't fully and uniformly stained. I was expecting a little better quality for the price.

These are good shelves but a little pricey.Very solid and came in a big and heavy box, so I can tell right away these are heavy duty good stuff. Easy to install and folds down. Thick and solid for sure.Just a little too expensive for two shelves. Still cheaper than the OEM name brands, but still. If you want good stuff and have the budget, these will do well.

These are a ripoff. They do not allow the lid to close.BEWARE!!!
