My Stanley 4' 'I-beam' lasted couple of years but the bubbles in the site glasses failed and took up their entire tubes and became useless. I ordered this Kapro box level which gives me horizontal, vertical and 45 degree alignments AND has a ruled, 48" straight edge for marking reference marks and lines on whatever I'm working on. Way easier than having to whip out a tape measure all the time while using the level.The level seems well made and sturdy, but the frosting on the case is their customer service!I noticed upon unpacking it that the protective bumper-cap on one end of it was missing and I nearly returned it, but I called them and the pleasant woman who answered the phone (and is also the voice on their automated answering service) sent a replacement right out to me and I got it just a few days later. Now my new level is perfect and I look forward to years of use.Thanks, Kapro, I highly recommend!

Great level and the ruler really makes a difference. Wife wanted to do some picture frame collage and it was a big help to get the spacing

Pros: The level was accurate enough, comparing it to other 2' levels I own, when I attached them to it.It's easy to push up against a wall, with the rubber on each end and bumps on the back to keep steady. (Another reviewer gave a digital readout on the accuracy, so check that out)The level is inexpensive, considering the extras with an attached ruler and rubber bumpers and ends.Although I didn't have a 4' straight edge, each side looked flat and straight when eye-balling down.Cons: Just remember to subtract 3/4" from your measurement when against a wall for the added rubber. I tried to take it off, which looks as if you can, but it snagged so I didn't want to risk damage.Also the box it shipped in wasn't long enough, and there was no padding inside the to hold the level steady while in transit. I saw no dents, scratches or marks; otherwise, I would have sent it back. However, I noticed that the price tag was ripped off; I wonder if it had been returned. But as noted, the level was accurate, straight and had no apparent damage. The packaging issue may not be anyone else's experience.All in all, I'm glad I bought it. It's a lot easier to mark, level and plumb for cabinets, shelves, picture frames, hooks, clocks, etc...I saw someone mention that it was heavy to hold onto; I thought the opposite. Then again I'm a retired carpenter and woodworker, so this level is easy to use for me. It's a lot easier than holding a level in one hand and a measuring tape in the other!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. What I primarily used it for and will use in the future is hanging pictures as well as painted canvases. It will make the job so much easier and accurate.

I recommend getting this tool. It’s a great price and it’ll be helpful with any DIY projects you have. The price for this tool is unbeatable when I had bought it.
