Great reel, I’ve used penn most of my life but here lately the lower end conventional reels haven’t been holding up. But this thing as been awesome I was dropping down to 35ft on a wreck catching key west grunts and rock bass with no issue at all. Looking to purchase at least 3 more

Picked up on sale for under $20. Worth every penny. I love a great fishing deal. Bought many kast king fishing products and have no complaints. Use on a sabiki rig to pull up that extra weight. Can't wait for summer time to get a lot of use out of it.

I got the size 10 without the line counter and I was worried that casting with this wouldnt work. I used a Berkely big game casting rod and 2oz weights and was able to cast pretty well without issue. 1oz seemed a little too light to cast with this though. I was able to cast over 100ft with ease for surf fishing. The clicker is loud but when you get a fish on, the clicker will be the best sound youve ever heard. This reel is powerful enough for sharks, as well as most fish. Havent actually trolled with this yet though.

These KastKing levelwind reels are definitely good quality and solid built reels. These are my second set of Rekon conventional reels (others are size 30) and have great confidence in their performance for the coming spring fishing season.And don't forget the EXCELLENT Customer service and communications I have received from KastKing! I bought 2 of these to use as trolling reels on my light weight trout set up,first time out after having them sitting in the box for a month and a half and after the 3 rd fish reeled in the drag stopped working,I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to return it as I both of these longer than 30 days,I resided myself that “ok I have a spare parts reel now†about 2 weeks later out again and this time the 2nd reel gives up,same exact problem as the first? I spent almost $100 a piece for these and feel like I was cheated out of my $$$. I would never recommend or purchase a Kast King reel ,definatley my last purchase.i only bought these because they were going to be used on a lightweight set up ,6.5 ft rod,6 lb test, so now I have 2 unusable reels.Again,poor,poor quality…
