I recently purchased the Kastty 2.5Gal/9.5L Extra Large Dog Water Fountain for my cat and dog, and it's been a game-changer for both them and me!Pros:Huge Capacity: The 2.5-gallon capacity is fantastic. I no longer have to constantly refill the water bowl, which is a big deal since my dog and cat drink a lot. It easily lasts a couple of days before needing to be topped off, even with two dogs sharing it. It would be great for multi-pet households or anyone with multiple pets.Filtered Water: One of the reasons I chose this fountain was for the filtration system. It uses a multi-layer filter to keep the water clean and fresh, which I feel better about than just leaving stagnant water in a bowl all day. The water stays clear, and I’ve noticed my pets seem to be drinking more since I switched to this fountain, likely because the water tastes fresher.Quiet Operation: I was worried it might be noisy given its size, but it’s impressively quiet. You can barely hear the water flowing, and the pump doesn’t make any annoying sounds, which is a relief since it’s placed in the kitchen where we spend a lot of time.Easy to Clean: The design makes it easy to disassemble and clean. The water tray, reservoir, and filter are all straightforward to access and clean, so I’m not worried about buildup or dirt getting trapped. I typically give it a good clean every week or so.Encourages Hydration: The gentle water flow seems to attract my furry friends, which is great because I want to make sure they stay hydrated, especially during hot days. It’s like they enjoy drinking from it more than their old bowl.Cons:Large Footprint: While I appreciate the large capacity, the fountain does take up a fair amount of space. If you have limited room, it might feel bulky. However, for me, the trade-off is worth it since I don’t have to refill it as often.Filter Replacements: The filters work well, but I found that you have to replace them fairly regularly to keep the water clean. It’s not a big issue, but it does add to the ongoing cost of maintaining the fountain. Luckily, replacement filters are easy to find and not too expensive.Cord Length: The power cord is a bit short, so you need to place it near an outlet or use an extension cord. It’s not a major inconvenience, but something to keep in mind when figuring out where to put it.Overall, I’m extremely happy with the Kastty 2.5Gal Extra Large Pet Fountain. It’s made my life easier by reducing the need for constant refills, and my dogs seem to love it. The water stays fresh and clean, and the design is practical for large dogs or households with multiple pets. Highly recommended if you want a reliable, high-capacity fountain!

We have had this fountain a little over a year now. It is the BEST fountain we have ever owned! It is so easy to maintain. One of our dogs drinks a TON of water, so when I say it is easy to maintain, it’s no joke. The filter just needs to be changed once every 20 days and just rinsed after around a week. Mind you, our dog gets a lot of dirt in it from running around outside when playing ball. The filtering system on this fountain is phenomenal! I just have to refill with water every other day or so (our dog drinks a TON of water). The fountain lets you know when it’s running low on water by the light that changes to red and the motor will get loud. This is one of the best purchases I have made.

Update:Was able to get a hold of seller. Great customer service. Very helpful and sent us a new motor, received in less than a week. All good.At first we loved this fountain and have done our best to maintain it, clean and changed the filters. The motor just went out and I cannot seem to be able to contact the seller. They supposedly have a 1 year warranty but I'm unable to connect with anyone to help resolve this. Too bad, a waste of money.

I have nine cats, and they are so obsessed with this water fountain, that their litter is always wet now. Forget pee *clumps*—now the entire box of litter is wet. They have several boxes, obviously, but at night they sleep in my room (where the fountain is located) and share one litter box in my bathroom overnight. That has always been fine for them because they are on the family sleep schedule for the most part 😆, and don’t (didn’t!) use the bathroom much at night. I used to do that box once a day, but now it is going to have to be more often because they cannot stop drinking out of this fountain! They had a water fountain before we got this one – a smaller stainless steel one. They never had a problem with that one, they liked it – but they are absolutely obsessed with this big one. Not only that, but as much as they love drinking out of it – it still holds enough water to last a week for them! Nine cats. They also love to just sit and stare at it, lol. I like the XL filter that it comes with and it seems to really work because every time I check their water it looks so clean. Their old water fountain needed to be cleaned – at least a little bit – every couple of days. It would have fur or something in there that I’d have to pick out at least. We all really like this fountain. The first pic is the new fountain next to their old one (which I would refill every other day). I’ll probably just let them go back to their smaller fountain at night, and put the big one out in the main area of the house where there are more litter boxes. 😅

When my old fountain died I wanted to replace it with a stainless steal one since that would be more hygienic. And it was, but it was super flawed and the loudest fountain on earth. I couldn't take it anymore and so searched for a replacement. The negative reviews about this one leaking made me nervous, but so far after a week of use it hasn't leaked at all. But the main thing is, IT IS SILENT! No motor sound, no sound of trickling water, nothing. Sometimes I worry it's not even on and I have to check to make sure water is still flowing. My cats are used to these kind of fountains, so they took to it right away. Plus, my too-smart cat who immediately learned out to pull the bowl off the last fountain, requiring us to have to duct tape it down, has not been able to pull the top off of this one. I haven't cleaned it yet, but it was pretty easy to assemble and so I imagine it will also be easy to clean. Since it's all plastic, though, I'll just have to be more proactive about it since it can grow algae much easier -- that's just the nature of keeping water in plastic.
