After switching to this type of bird food (with eggs), my parakeets seem happier (more animated). I'd strongly recommend this food for parakeets.

But don't like the big seeds. They are doves. I believe they are doing well with the egg product from the seeds but they love it so much I know they are prospering on it. Sorry to throw out the other seed though!

I changed my feather baby to this and her little feathers grew so she can fly through the house. She had a little tail nub and short wings, and the feathers grew in 2 months so she can fly during outside cage time.
