The first set of grommets was too large ( didn’t want to return, could use elsewhere), but this size is perfect! So easy to use ( I have limited mobility and strength) and I was able to use it by myself. Sweet!

I had an eyelet from my shoe pop out and I decided to buy this to replace the one I lost. Hammering the eyelets is not easy. Despite doing a few practices on a piece of leather, many eyelets were thrown away because they easily split when you hammer them. For the shoelaces to survive, they need a smooth eyelet all the way through. I was hoping to have the gunmetal eyelets in my shoe, but I could not get the eyelet to fold without splitting. The brass eyelets seemed to be less prone to split. after 5-7 attempts with the brass eyelets, I finally had an eyelet that did not split and called it a day. These eyelets are fine if you are going to use the eyelets to hang items and are ok with splitting on the back side. If you want to material to run freely through the eyelets like a shoelace or you want it to look nice on both sides, you might find these eyelets to be problematic.

I was not happy with these at all. Barely clamped them and they were bending and leaving Mark’s on the ring. It made it look very unprofessional. Some were very difficult to clamp and bent funny. I would not recommend.

I specifically bought them because the pictures fooled me into thinking the tools were included. I just reviewed them, and the third or fourth photo says tools are not included in a small, barely visible print. I will probably have to return them without a tool for them.

The grommets work to an extent.The moment you try and install them, the grommets split during installation.The hammer is handy to have.
