Used for RV Curtains and holding up. Im gentle with them because its a very bendable aluminum. Actually messed up and just bent it apart with my finger tips to remove lol.

This is a great choice for beginners. I've never tried grommets before, so starting with this was a great experience. However, the reason as to why I could not give this Five Stars is the silver grommets didn't work as they should have. Maybe they weren't meant for thinner material, but whatever the cause, I wouldn't recommend using the silver grommets as it nearly ruined my project. The colored grommets work perfectly! I recommend using those.

Needed to make grommet holes in clear bags for hanging worked well. Lots of grommets. Wish it wasn’t colored, but don’t really care. Plain color would have sufficed. Good value, not super easy to use because grommets fall off a lot when you place them on the tool. Must have patience for this.

I was reluctant to purchase this item after reading the bad reviews but because of Amazon's return policy I knew that I could return the item if I was dissatisfied with it. I purchased it and I was pleased with the results. If you take your time and pay attention to what you're doing it's a breeze. I imagine the bad reviews were because of customers misuse.

In some of my photos you will see a second set of pliers. They are not the reordered set. They are different set from a different seller that punches a slightly smaller size. I just wanted to show you how different some of the issues were between one which functioned and this one, which does not1. The handles are far too wide. It's impossible for me to use one hand, I have to let go of the item and clamp using two hands. Causing misalignment.2. The jaws are too close. I don't see this being successful on tarps or leather, surely not a belt. I understand the pin on the top jaw is on a spring and can be pressed up but it's still too close together with it pressed.3. On the first and reorder the hole punch never cut it fully around. Also, the cutting tool on the second set was poorly placed so it stuck up a bit causing you to fight to get the material into the cutting space.The eyelets that came with were very nice and had good depth. It's too bad to have to send it all back but the eyelets can be purchased on their own for much less.

I liked this. It took a few mistakes to learn how to use the tool but it is worth it. I love the different colors of the eyelets and they really made my outfit functional. I used it to make a corset style sweatshirt

The pliers are strong and easy to hold and use, lots of eyelets supplied with different sizes and colours. My only negative is the size between the pins and throat of pliers is small which limits some applications. On the whole great tool.
