KEEN Women's Whisper Closed Toe Sport Sandal

Bought my first pair in 2008 and used them for trail running. Despite very hard usage, every day, they lasted 4 years. Since them I had numerous pairs, all good and long lasting. I normally wear an 8 wide but in these I size up to 8.5. Also I normally order neutral shades but this blue was irresistible and a good choice--very pretty. I use these in urban settings and on my farm and they are comfortable, pretty and very durable. Definitely worth the cost, especially in our throw away society.

Right out of the box, fit was perfect. I’ve been purchasing this brand for a long time. Each time I order, the size is perfect in a 6 med. Not all brands fit the same with each order. Keen does for me. I have one toe that is a bit different and nothing rubs. The soles are comfortable, with no break-in period. The bungee cord has quite a bit of room to adjust. I have a pair of Keen boots that are my go to during the fall/winter. Have had them probably 13-15 yrs or so. Still look great. I ordered this pair of sandals in Smoke Blue, which looks a little smokey, bluish teal. Very good color with jeans and neutrals.

UPDATE: I've had these shoes for a little over a year, and the stitching has started to come undone on the side. However, it is easily repairable, and the rest of the shoe is in great condition; so, I still highly recommend them!ORIGINAL POST: First, I'll say that I absolutely love these shoes!As my husband and I were planning our honeymoon in Hawaii, we knew that we were going to need some good water shoes. I'm more of a sandal girl myself; so, I ordered both the Whispers and the Newport H2s, and here's what I found...The Whispers ran truer to size than the Newports. I order my regular size in the Whispers, which fit perfectly, but I needed about a full size bigger on the Newports. (Not a deal breaker, but just something to note.)The Whispers have a significantly nicer feel to them, but they do run a bit narrow; so, if you have wider feet, you likely want to go with the Newports, regardless of size. However, while the Newports are wider and are definitely a more rugged shoe with a bigger toe bumper, that also makes them a bit heavier and they tend to clomp a bit more. Depending on how you're looking to use them, this might be what you need, but for me just walking and hiking around Hawaii, the Whispers did just fine.I will note that on the beaches, especially the pebbly ones, the sand did get stuck in the Whispers a bit, but my guess is that would've happened even more with the Newports as the latter have the bigger toe bumper where sand likely would've gotten stuck.As far as arch support, the Whispers have good support, but the Newports definitely had a better insole. However, it also made the Newports a bit tighter on the top, almost like they didn't fully account for the arch, which wasn't unbearable, but again, something to note when choosing what size to order. For me, the arch support was still more than sufficient in the Whispers, and my feet never felt too tired walking around in them for hours.I've also heard comments that the back of the straps on Keens get stretched out after time; so, I also liked that the Whispers were reinforced with ribbon around the back too. It also added a cute accent to the design, making them not only a good water sandal, but also a cute all-around nice shoe. They were so comfortable that I ended up wearing them even when I knew we weren't going to be getting our feet wet.So, after walking around the house in them for about 1-2 days each, I ultimately went with the Whispers, and I'm very glad that I did. The fit was comfortable, they weren't too bulky, and they did exactly what I wanted them to do, which was mainly protect my feet as we explored rainforests, beaches, and other fun sites.I'll try to give an update once I've had them a bit longer, but after two weeks of wearing these almost exclusively in Hawaii, I can say that I'm very happy with them and would highly recommend them to anyone!

This is the second pair I've owned in this style and I truly love them. They are easy to put on and take off. The toe protection is fantastic. This is what finally gave out on the first pair after many, many years of abuse. The tread is great on a variety of surfaces. Water is not a problem and they rinse and dry easily and quickly.They are true to size for me. The only issue I had with this pair was that the left strap around the bottom of my ankle rubbed the skin until I nearly had a sore. This is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. I used a bandaid to cover that spot for a couple more uses, and when I wore them without the bandaid the next time, the problem didn't reoccur. Perhaps they just needed to stretch a little? I don't know. I wear these now without anything on that spot near my ankle and all is fine.The color choices are great. Being able to adjust the fit with the bungee is another feature I really like.I recommend these and I hope they're still around many years from now when I suppose I'll need another pair!

I have a bone spur on the joint of my big toe that makes most 'normal' women's shoes impossible for me to wear. I was able to try on a pair while on vacation so I knew to size up. There is ample room for my bone spur AND they attach securely. Usually if it doesn't hurt it also doesn't stay on. They are also firm enough to not make my sore toe bend more than it likes. I love that they are comfortable right out of the box and come in such a large variety of colors. If you are undecided I say YES get them! They are funky, cute, and comfortable.

I ordered a half size bigger because of problems I had with cheaper models. I am sure my normal size would have been ample. They are great

I have only worn my sandals a few times so far but the fit is perfect. I usually am a 61/2 in America or I can be a 37 in France but I have quite a narrow foot so the 6 ( 36 ) is just right. I bought these for trip to Sri Lanka and I think they will do just fine there. I was pleased with the fast shipment from the UK to France.

Great for long walks and it doesn’t rub while being wet
